Using Sage espresso accessories helps improve preparation and consistency during the coffee-making process.
Where applicable to the selected product, the instructions below provide a general guide for use:
- Portafilter: Insert the portafilter into the group head after dosing and tamping your coffee grounds. Lock firmly before extraction.
- Tamper: Compress coffee grounds evenly in the filter basket to create a level, consistent coffee bed before brewing.
- Distributor / Leveler: Rotate over the ground coffee to evenly distribute the grounds prior to tamping.
- Milk Jug: Use when steaming milk to create smooth microfoam for cappuccinos, lattes, and other milk-based drinks.
- Knock Box: Dispose of used coffee pucks by tapping the portafilter against the knock bar for quick and mess-free cleanup.
- Puck Remover: Remove used espresso pucks quickly and cleanly using the automatic vacuum extraction system after brewing.
- Precision Scale: Measure coffee grounds and water accurately to maintain a consistent coffee-to-water ratio during brewing.
