Preparation & Care
Preparation & Care
Traditional Hojicha
- Heat 60 ml of water to ~80Β°C (not boiling)
- Sift 3β4g of hojicha powder into a bowl
- Whisk gently in a slow βWβ motion until fully dissolved and lightly frothy
Hojicha Latte
- Prepare hojicha as above
- Add 130 ml of warm or steamed milk (oat milk pairs especially well)
- Whisk gently to combine
π‘ Sifting before whisking helps achieve a smoother, more even texture.
Care & Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from light, heat, and moisture
- Keep tightly sealed in its tin or an airtight container after opening
- Consume within 90 days for optimal freshness and flavor
- Use a dry utensil when scooping to prevent clumping
π‘ Because hojicha is delicately roasted, it absorbs nearby aromas β store away from strong-smelling items to preserve its clean, toasty fragrance.
